Other Worlds is a women-driven, multi-media education and movement-building collaborative. Other Worlds inspires hope and knowledge that another world is possible, and helps build it. We compile and bring to light political, economic, social, and environmental alternatives that are flourishing throughout the world, and inspire and help the public throughout the Americas open up new pathways to adapt and replicate them. We support the global movements that are propelling the alternatives. In the U.S., we seek to draw in new participants and strengthen existent efforts for economic justice, environmentally sound systems, and meaningful democracy.

Other Worlds is a collaborative, a rich mix of paid and volunteer organizers, activists, writers, artists, intellectuals, and students. We work in indigenous and campesino coalitions, research institutions, and grassroots networks. Our group spans the gamut from a farmer to one of Mesoamerica’s leading movement strategists to a bartender. Together we have well over a century of experience in social, economic, environmental, and gender justice movements; solid knowledge and analysis of the issues; deep relationships and shared trust with movements in dozens of countries; and a vast skill base. We are united by energy, creativity, and a passionate commitment to justice. Our collective relationships, knowledge base, talents, and experience form a fecund resource that we are able to dedicate toward effective education, mobilizing, and movement support.
